Headbands and a Giveaway! **CLOSED**

I am so excited for an opportunity to show case a great little shop--Bowtique Emilee.

 

They sent me the supplies to make two headbands and have offered to giveaway your choice of  supplies to one of my readers!!!

 

I love that I can order fold-over elastic and a large variety of flowers and other bling in various colors to make matching headbands or clips for the dresses and clothes I make for my daughters.

And, the prices are very reasonable as well.

 

For this first headband, I used:

Black and White Polka Dot FOE

Pink with White Shabby Chiffon Polka Dot 2.5" Flower

Black Mini Shabby Chiffon 1.5" Flower

and,

Grey Mini Shabby Chiffon 1.5" Flower

 

 

For this second headband, I used:

Chevron Aqua FOE

and,

Inside Out Grey/Aqua Shabby Chiffon 2.5" Flower

 

 

I love how they look on my daughters!

Colorblock Dress Blog Tour

Deby from So Sew Easy has a new pattern out!

The Color Block Dress. 

It's a beautiful, slimming dress--perfect for a date night or a wedding.

 

I was privileged to try it out and I love the results.

Princess seams, and strategic color blocking make it a simple yet elegant dress.

 

 

The fabric is from Girl Charlee--both lovely cotton spandex mixes.

 

I love that I can bend down and not show anything--the neckline is perfect that way!

Also, the dress hits just around the knee, so it's not too short.

 

 

I'm excited to wear this on a future date with my dear husband (who incidentally is my own personal photographer...)

Betty Skirt and Skirting the Issue!

I recently got to test a very cute little skirt from the Shaffer Sisters!

The Betty Skirt. (Soon to be re-released--will update with link when released!)

There are so many options and sizes in this skirt:

doll, newborn and all the way up to 16, including plus sizes!

Options include a gathered skirt with placket, small pleats, and big pleats!

 

 

I chose to make the large pleats in a 3 month size, using fabric from the Fat Quarter Shop.

My plan is to donate this to the Pregnancy Care Center during our next Pregnancy Care Center Sew-along!

The pattern went together very well--you can print which ever size you'd like with the handy layers feature.

 

I had to let my little girl 'model' it for us...

Delilah Top Blog Tour and Giveaway!

When Rachel from Golden Rippy was looking for some bloggers to tour the Delilah Top, I jumped in!

 

 

I had seen this top sewn up by other bloggers and knew it was a great top.

 

I used a jersey knit from Fabric.com.

 

This is a size small with no bow or flower. I absolutely love this top--

I wore it two days straight even though it was plus 30 Celsius here the first day!
